The Townlys, a wealthy merchant family of the Victorian age, are attacked and taken by corsairs on a voyage to India. The two sisters and brother along with other Englishwomen are forced to join a harem. After many adventures, they finally return to England. Basically a romance novel with a BDSM theme. |

I have to admit that, although this was incredibly intense and excessively sadistic, I thouroughly enjoyed this story. Towards the end I skiped thru a great deal of it, but it was a great read. I'm thrilled at the fact that not only is this capable of getting people off, but it's also well written. There's a fair amount of proofreading to be done, but is easily overlooked. Well done! (7/10)

A story of heroism and hedonism, understanding and bigotry, violence and love. Harry Berg has a reputation of writing harsh stories, but of telling them well and making them worth reading. This one is no exception. The continuing added twists and turns leave plenty of room for Mr. Berg's imagination to develop new fears, and new triumphs. Very nicely done. (10/10)

Only recently started this voyage. What a great tale. I'm totally hooked. Characters, situations, adventure and settings all contribute to a very good read. Who has the movie rights? dnotnedATyahooDOTcom (10/10)

Beautifully written tale. On this entire site, and beyond, I haven't found a better cast of characters, proper grammar and spelling, and imagery. I think you have a Marquis de Sade type of content, but it seems more detailed and provides better characterization than what I've read of his works. Bravo! (10/10)

A long and enjoyable story. The large cast is both its strength (variety of experience) and weakness (20 episodes spread over many months -> who is ___ and what is her (almost always) history in the tale?). That's a nice problem to have, though. Congratulations, Harry! (8/10)

Great story so far. A bit too extreme for my tastes in some parts, but it was well written. I enjoyed the depth given to the characters and setting. Looking forward to more. (10/10)

A nicely done, well-written, and creative story going on here. No doubt this is one of the best authors on this site. (9/10)

I have to admit that I quit reading the first instalment when I couldn't find the corsairs I was looking for, but found instead a too young English lady who talked too dirty for her *and* the Victorian age. However, the historical setting of the story and the fact that it was very well written made me read the second instalment, and I do not regret having given 'the corsairs' another chance;-) I was rewarded by intriguing ordeals, graphically depicted and remorselessly executed, well created characters and a story line more gripping than that of the first instalment. Some of the content was far too rough for my tastes, though, but well, the story code warned me, so there's nothing to complain about. And since it looks like we face a larger-scaled story here, I will follow the next instalments. Keep them coming! (9/10)

Enjoyable and well-written indeed, in a nicely described historical setting, which I always like. I was a little disappointed that the corsairs have not yet begun the raping and pillaging which drew me to begin the story, but there is a time for all things... (9/10)

- Can't have a pirate story without rape and pillage. They're a coming!
Thanks for taking the time to read and review the story.
