I admit that since reading this I look at history dvd's, narrated by a certain British archaeologist in a whole new way. A wonderful story, thank you for it. (10/10)

- Thanks for the score, IOpan and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
How could you think I based this on a real person? Tsk, tsk! :-) I've got a sequel to this about 25% written, somewhere. Maybe I'll dust it off some time...

I thought about reviewing Mr. Clegg's stories separately, but since I'm going through the 'highest rated' ones to catch-up on what I've read and didn't comment on, I keep stumbling across Freddie's work all of the time, so here goes... Well, first of all I feel Freddie Clegg has a pen at least as sharp as Python's tongue, who used to live at Delphi's Oracle (got his arse kicked by Apollo, that one)... He also earned his place on mount Olympos, cuz he just kicked Zeus off of it (sorry, but you started the Mythology thing, Freddie). Expert storytelling is all that I can say or write here. JJ (10/10)

I'll settle for being as cunning as Odysseus.... There will be a new Freddie story soon.

Mr. Clegg has hit another home run. I loved the story from the first word to the last. I thought the "Nora Roberts" character was a cute touch but one most probably lost on the male readers of this story, still I loved it. I like so agree with bobsasky on the great ending. (10/10)

- littleone,
Thanks for this, glad you enjoyed it. I do try to write a variety of characters and while I don't particularly write for a male or female audience (mostly I just write what amuses me, so I guess that gives it a male bias, though) I'm always please when one of my female characters strikes a chord. For the avoidance of doubt, Nora was NOT based on the authoress Norah Roberts - I only googled her name after seeing this review and hadn't heard of her before.
